█ █▓█ I was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. I went █▓█ █
█ █▓█ to my first rave when I was 16, but was more into the █▓█ █
█ █▓█ jungle and techno scene. It wasnÆt until I walked into █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Redheads night club one Saturday night that I first █▓█ █
█ █▓█ heard proper house music. I can still to this day █▓█ █
█ █▓█ remember the song that was playing ôDiscoÆs Revengeö by █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Gusto. I had never heard anything like it, I was █▓█ █
█ █▓█ hooked. I started going to clubs every weekend such as █▓█ █
█ █▓█ The Mansion, Saratoga and Redheads. In that time I got █▓█ █
█ █▓█ to witness the most amazing djÆs playing, such as John █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Digweed, Sasha, Roger Sanchez, Deep Dish, Danny █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Tenaglia, DJ Sneak and many more, these being the ones █▓█ █
█ █▓█ that really inspired me. I started getting into the █▓█ █
█ █▓█ music more and more and that pushed me into wanting to █▓█ █
█ █▓█ DJ. I bought a crappy radio shack mixer and attempted █▓█ █
█ █▓█ to mix between two normal cd players (no pitch control) █▓█ █
█ █▓█ it wasnÆt that easy to get the records in time! I █▓█ █
█ █▓█ started buying vinyl and soon bought a technics █▓█ █
█ █▓█ turntable, using that and my dadÆs old belt drive to █▓█ █
█ █▓█ mix. Still to this day IÆve not owned a set of proper █▓█ █
█ █▓█ turntables! About two years and countless hours of █▓█ █
█ █▓█ practice later (thanks for putting up with it Mum!), I █▓█ █
█ █▓█ handed a mix tape into the community dance radio █▓█ █
█ █▓█ station Kiss FM for a bedroom DJ competition. It was █▓█ █
█ █▓█ voted best mix of the broadcast by the Kiss FM crew. I █▓█ █
█ █▓█ then handed more mix tapes out and landed a trial spot █▓█ █
█ █▓█ at Q Bar on a Monday night. The night of my trial I was █▓█ █
█ █▓█ lucky that the owner and manager and staff were all in █▓█ █
█ █▓█ there drinking, they loved it and I was offered the gig █▓█ █
█ █▓█ permantly the very next week. I owe everything to that █▓█ █
█ █▓█ gig, it was a 5 hour set on a Monday night, but it was █▓█ █
█ █▓█ industry night, the club would be full of DJÆs and █▓█ █
█ █▓█ promoters ôrelaxingö after a hard weekends work. My █▓█ █
█ █▓█ sets caught the attention of some big DJÆs and █▓█ █
█ █▓█ promoters, everything else flowed from that. IÆve now █▓█ █
█ █▓█ played at nearly every club here and have been a part █▓█ █
█ █▓█ of some of the biggest club nights in Melbourne, █▓█ █
█ █▓█ working every weekend for nearly ten years. About four █▓█ █
█ █▓█ years ago I started writing my own music and that has █▓█ █
█ █▓█ taken my love for my job to a new level. I just had my █▓█ █
█ █▓█ first single released through a label called ôArabicaö █▓█ █
█ █▓█ and have also had an EP signed to ôProton Musicö, which █▓█ █
█ █▓█ is due to come out in February. I can appreciate all █▓█ █
█ █▓█ forms of dance music, but I really love any forward █▓█ █
█ █▓█ thinking, original and intelligent stuff. Dance music █▓█ █
█ █▓█ is my life and I wouldnÆt have it any other way. I █▓█ █
█ █▓█ thank my lucky stars everyday that I live off it, the █▓█ █
█ █▓█ thought of a day job sends shivers up my spine. My █▓█ █
█ █▓█ favourite colour is green, I like beer, cigarettes and █▓█ █
█ █▓█ I donÆt enjoy long walks on the beach. █▓█ █
