Quasimode live -- as you'll hear on this sweet
little set! The album captures the Japanese jazz
combo in all their jazzy brilliance -- working live
and loud, with a razor-sharp sound throughout! The
set's a great way to hear the group's sound at its
core -- and to appreciate that their deft way of
turning a groove comes from no tricks in the studio
-- no fancy edits or overdubs. Instead, the sound
here is pure jazz energy -- tightly rhythmic lines
that hearken back to 60s modal MPS or Blue Note --
