█░ Francisco band pits sampled beats against live drums and ░█
█░ ethereal keyboards versus mesmerizing guitar riffs, and ░█
█░ haunting, sensitive guy harmonies go toe-to-toe with noisy ░█
█░ breaks and squirrelly electronic whirrs and beeps. It's ░█
█░ gradually compelling, like the smell of bacon from the ░█
█░ kitchen on a Saturday morning when you're sleeping late. ░█
█░ Except that Rubymar make moody bacon. " ░█

█░ I don't know much about this band, to be honest. I got the ░█
█░ CD from a mate of mine, and had no luck hunting down ░█
█░ information. Their website seems to be down atm, but thanks ░█
█░ to Google's cache, I snuck the above review. It's a pretty ░█
█░ solid hit, except for the bacon bit. And the squirrels. ░█
█░ As for my take on the album, they can go from being rather ░█
█░ sappy one moment, to fsking rock another, same bloody song. I ░█
█░ can dig it. There are definite influences in this album (when ░█
█░ aren't there?), but I don't see Radiohead or the Shoegazer set ░█
█░ being ranked that high. Ok, there are soft moments, and there ░█
█░ are electronics melded with the usual guitars and drums, but ░█
█░ there is the lack of more experimental aspects, as found in ░█
█░ Radiohead. Still, good stuff. Enjoy! ░█
