The third release from Simon Scott's own Kesh label is a
superb work from him under his Televise moniker. The
ex-Slowdive drummer has delivered an album of considerable
grace that focuses on his penchants for deep, drone-based
music with a melodic feel and a lightly shoegazey sound. From
beatless, textural tracks with classically distant sounding
vocal elements to much more rhtyhmic pieces, this spans the
divide between guitars and electronics with ease although it
errs much more on the electronic side than some of his other
work. Dense, warm, friendly, yet out-there, I'd definitely
recommend giving this beauty a listen and for those that enjoy
the Kranky label or the work of Monostation it's pretty much
an essential. Marvellous.
