   :  New York's latest unsigned luminaries for sure, Dopo     :
   :  Yume reek of jaded urban ennui, but still have the       :
   :  energy to shake stuff a bit (though all the while        :
   :  keeping the sweat to a minimum). Not unlike, uhh, you    :
   :  know who. Sounding exactly like you'd expect the first   :
   :  descendent of the Strokes' paralyzing grip on the Big    :
   :  Apple's cultural elite to sound, Dopo Yume just may be   :
   :  the second link in the NY-cool-core chain started by     :
   :  the afore.                                               :
   :                                                           :
   :  Thankfully, though their new demo mixes in enough        :
   :  Lady-tron-styled Euro-trash to gleefully one up the      :
   :  Strokes' style- conscious superficiality. And because    :
   :  of their taking it one step farther artistically         :
   :  instead of loitering in the after glow, they will at     :
   :  least escape the pitfalls of many of their soon-to-be    :
   :  predecessors. This is not a knock-off, and whenever it   :
   :  comes, their debut full-length will be just as good.     :
