│ "I am a student at a university and a member of its Indian ││
│ Student's Association. As a member I participate in the ││
│ organization's annual production of Diwali, the Festival of ││
│ Lights. As our performance combines traditional and modern ││
│ mixes of music we most often incorporate the modern mixes of ││
│ Bhangra, even some by these artists. It is fun, a little ││
│ suprising for some of the Indian parents, but mostly the ││
│ satisfaction is that this music allows for a bridge to be ││
│ formed between a predominately white school and the culture ││
│ and music of its Indian Students. I myself am white and have ││
│ danced to this music for 2 years in the best dance of our ││
│ performance and have to admit it didn't take me longer than ││
│ our first practice to admit that I was hooked. I love Indian ││
│ music in general but this upbeat Bhangra music is something ││
│ that can be listened to in the car or at a performance. I ││
│ would recommend it to everyone, and I do. I am continually ││
│ excited to see how this type of music is becoming ││
