There is nobody who comes close to the respect DJ Spinna gets in
Hip-Hop and house. Armand is trying, and Spooky is just shy on the
Hip-Hop side. Maybe that's because Spinna doesn't sleep, workin'
overtime to remix everything ever made. That's hyperbole maybe, but
son is a diagnosed workaholic. Not only does he have a group
(Jigmastas) and record sololy but he also does compilations all over
the place. This is the latest one and its part of King Street Sounds'
Mix the Vibe series. Others that have been part of this series: Lil
Louis, Ron Trent; which should indicate what side of music we're
listening too. But of course Spinna throw a lil bit everything in. He
get's his homeboy from Cooley's Hotbox in on a track, and brings his
remix from Soulstice's Om remix album. There's a 12" off of this
album, it contains the two original tracks Spinna himself
contributes.
