playground functions as an erimental lab for artists who work
almost exclusively with vinyl, who are excessive record collectors
and djs as well as producers. on the playground series, these djs
tell stories and build up suspense in a continuous mix. these
sound sculptures are more than the sum of the individual tracks -
they represent new works of art in themselves. the genres which
are their defining universe are known as contemporary electronic
dance-music - key words such as nu-jazz, latin, trip hop or
downbeat serve only as a guide line. in the limelight stands the
high quality of the chosen songs themselves, complementing the
personality and the know-how of the djs. it is the aim of these
releases to create a corresponding positive atmosphere and to
introduce the audience to exciting new tracks. the first release
on playground features gⁿ-mix, who is host of one of the best
clubs in vienna - the famous dub club at the flex. among the
represented artists there are national and international names
such as sugar b, deep dive corporation or peter kruders peace
orchestra.
this is the full retail release featuring all 16 tracks.
