**Pink Vinyl** The first single to be lifted from Pop Levi's second album for
Ninja Tune's Counter Records sub label, and you'd have to say it's lacking in
the Bolan-esque glam currency that made his first album such a patchy pleasure.
There's a greater emphasis on beats than on melody, which is all good and well,
but it could really do with being a bit more instant. B-side 'Love You Straight
(Astral Version)' comes across nicely, but again, fails to really make any real
impact early on. Maybe the album will make sense of it all?
