▓░░█ ░ RELEASE NOTES ▄▄▄▄▀▀▀
░ █ ▀ ▀▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀ █
█ Brent 'Big Vik' Victory developed his love and █
█ passion for music while growing up in Oakland, █
█ California. While the West Coast dominated the █
█ rap scene in the 90's, Vik turned his focus to █
█ becoming a vocalist, producer and songwriter with █
█ his ultimate goal being to write and produce for █
█ today's brightest stars. █
█ █
█ Realizing the ΓÇ£undergroundΓÇ¥ would not gain █
█ the attention needed to accomplish his goal, Vik █
█ took matters into his own hands by writing and █
█ composing ALL 12 songs on his own full length CD! █
█ With the appropriately titled INTRO, Vik █
█ introduces a slew of talented performers. More █
█ importantly, Vik introduces the concept that hit █
█ material stands on its own merit, regardless of █
█ categories and genres. █
█ █
█ ΓÇ£IΓÇÖve been influenced by everyone from Run █
█ DMC to Daryl Hall and John Oates--Michael Jackson █
█ to Springsteen--Jay-Z to Sheryl Crow...great █
█ music is great music and IΓÇÖm a student of the █
█ science of hit making.ΓÇ¥ --Vik █
█ █
█ With influences ranging from the hardcore street █
█ sounds of Dr. Dre, to the soft, blue-eyed soul █
█ croonings of Hall & Oates, Vik has positioned █
█ himself as easily one of the most unique and █
█ versatile performers of today. █
█ █
█ Songs like ΓÇÿSmashed OutΓÇÖ, ΓÇÿOooh, Let It █
█ RideΓÇÖ and ΓÇÿDyno-MiteΓÇÖ clearly demonstrate █
█ his passion for todayΓÇÖs Rap sounds influenced █
█ by Dr. Dre and Just Blaze. Vik is equally at █
█ home in his more Mainstream/Pop element with █
█ ΓÇÿItΓÇÖs All About UsΓÇÖ and ΓÇÿItΓÇÖs Only █
█ Love'. ΓÇÿOne LoveΓÇÖ is Adult Contemporary at █
█ itΓÇÖs finest and ΓÇÿItΓÇÖs ΓÇÿAll Over NowΓÇÖ is █
█ true R&B/Soul in the vein of R. Kelly. █
█ █
█ "Writing a song that comes from the heart is the █
█ easy part...arranging melodies and chords for the █
█ broadest level of appeal while still maintaining █
█ the emotion and integrity of that song--that's █
█ the real trick! THAT'S what makes a classic song █
█ and that is the ultimate challenge for a true █
█ songwriter." --Vik █
