Joker - Top of the Game EP
I honestly never expected to see this 12", with promises
of a release running back some 2 years now we had pretty
much given up hope but here it is finally, Joker's wonky
synth odysee 'Gully Brook Lane' on fully released vinyl!!!
It's been bloody hard not to hear this massive track
getting truly rinsed by every grime and dubstep DJ with
enough dollar to knock up a dubplate version, but that
really can't diminish the fact that this is a seriously
sick riddim, featuring some of the nastiest and funked up
synth riffage this side of Parliament over a punishing
bassline that puts most producers to shame. You also get
the bonus of 'Retro racer' on the b-side, another Joker
special with those perfectly shifted rhythm afflictions
and an instantly memorable lead line twocked from the
classic arcade game of the same name, but you know all you
need is 'Gully Brook Lane'! Rude as fook!
