LIMITED COPIES! Influential synth pop duo Yazoo are back in motion, and this EP
finds them subjected to a host of remixes, most prominently by Hercules & Love
Affair, who kick the EP off with an overhaul of 'Situation', which first
surfaced as the B-side to Yazoo's debut single, only to be issued as a
successful single in its own right in the USA. The DFA act successfully shape
the song around their own formula, while the Black Light Odyssey remix is
faithful to the early '80s origins of 'Goodbye '70s'. Das Shadow's rework of
'Ode To Boy' puts more of a contemporary electropop spin on things, only for
Electronic Periodic to maintain a stripped-bare sound on their reinterpretation
of 'Winter Kills'.
