iny Sticks are back with us, as ever the quality is right up there,
this time Michoacan is at the helm. On side-A "Opiate Opus" has a
tough house style beat introducing some nice spacey synths for a
Wang-esqe nu disco jaunt, awesome vocoder action too. Next up is
Mujaba's remix which takes things to a deep underground bunker of
electronic swells and crisp beats. Over on side-B Nick Chacona
takes a turn, turning the track into an uptempo nu disco run, all
arpeggios and wobbly synths. Last up is "Crack Crock" which is an
off kilter mix of electronica, Italo disco and believe it or not I
am sure I can hear some kind of operatic sample going on, odd but
good.
