DJ Krush (Hideaki Ishi) is a Tokyo-born turntablist who started
performing with live musicians while using his turntables as
instruments.
DJ Krush's style of hip hop is truely unique with his albums being
mostly instrumental and incorporating elements of jazz, trip hop,
and oriental music. His first album release "Krush" established his
place at the forefront of Japanese hip hop, while his 6th album
ôZenö was highly acclaimed and awarded the Best Electronica Album
in US 2002 AIFM Awards. When not producing, remixing or djing, DJ
Krush writes soundtracks for films, TV dramas and commercials, as
well as collaborating with many other musicians for live sessions.
