A 19-track compilation, follow up to Silva ScreenÆs YΘ YΘ Classics collection
Swinging Mademoiselles

More groovy French pop from the 60s featuring Brigitte Bardot, Petula Clark,
Jacqueline Taieb and Zouzou - the YΘ YΘ girls took a firm grip on American and
British pop and gave it a sparkly Gallic twist, resulting in a vibrant form of
music which in recent years has become highly collectible.

Highlights include Petula ClarkÆs elegantly laidback take on Jackie De ShannonÆs
US 1963 hit ôNeedles and Pinsö (ôLa Nuit NÆEn Finit Plusö) as well as ZouzouÆs
ôTu Fais Partie Du Passeö and ôIl Est Parti Comme Il Etait Venuö and ôEcoute Le
Tempsö, a wonderful piece of Brigitte Bardo whimsy from the TV programme
ôSaint-Tropezà Voleö.

Also featuring CleoÆs glittering and surreal ôMadame la Terreö (Et Ron, Et
Ronà), ElisabethÆs ôMadame Supermanö with overtly strange male interjections and
AdeleÆs ôJe Ne Veux Plus DÆAccordeonö, a plaintive protest against the
traditional chanson.
