Written & produced by Oliver Lieb.
This is probably THE trademark Oliver Lieb tune, the classic of all his
classics. It also happens to be the turning point release in Hooj's
history according to Red Jerry, the pivotal moment when he abandoned
mainstream pop-cheese and opted for more credible underground sound.
The Vinyl Cut of course is the choice mix here, hands down. Kid Loops
(Filter roster artist) turns in an inspired downtempo reinterpretation
with drum & bass and breakbeat thrown in in equal measures. DJ Randy's
mix was inherited from the original Superstition release, methinks and
displays the more traditional techno-oriented sound of the label. And
finally, the Jules Verne version, my least favourite despite being used
on the Northern Exposure 2 Westcoast CD (not to mention that it reminds
me of Judge Jules and Stretch & Verne and that doesn't add to its appeal).
