█ REFLECT is the stage name branded after its █
█ consistent use as a word to describe his music. █
█ The sound is characterized as deep emotionally, █
█ thoughtful, descriptive and reflective. The █
█ meaning has extended to simply ôI am youö. ôI see █
█ myself in my audience and if they are open they █
█ will see themselves within meàIæm a reflection of █
█ them and they are a reflection of me.ö Born the █
█ middle of 3 sons to Folk/ Blues musicians and █
█ raised by his mother a singer songwriter and █
█ instrumentalist who supported herself and her █
█ boys singing and gigging in clubs until her █
█ health began to deteriorate and she was forced to █
█ go on disability to support her family. REFLECT █
█ wrote lyrics from the time he was 14 years old █
█ but not with any intensions to pursue a music █
█ career. Not until 2004, after several injuries █
█ continued to sideline his athletic pursuits, did █
█ REFLECT move closer to music as a needed outlet █
█ and begin to seriously pursuit music as a career █
█ option. Influenced by several artists ranging █
█ from Bill Withers and Bob Marley to Tupac Shakur █
█ and Common. REFLECT studied great artists and █
█ learned to write and produce songs. REFLECT also █
█ taught himself to play several instruments █
█ including bass, percussion and keyboards and with █
█ a natural ability to construct hooks and melodies █
█ he began to record and produce his own material. █
█ His sound has the bounce and edge of hip hop with █
█ harmonies, melodies and hooks reminiscent of █
█ blues and soul recordings. His smooth delivered █
█ lyrics and grooves are intended to have a █
█ cinematic feeling, treating every song like a █
█ film. His rhythmic an narrative lyrics and █
█ storytelling are delivered with strength and █
█ empathy, frustration and compassion, hope and █
█ heartache. His music focuses on social injustice, █
█ relationships and overcoming struggle. ôThe same █
█ way a powerful speech can change a personÆs █
█ perception and promote action, this is the █
█ intention I have with this album (HOPE wuz HERE), █
█ my career as a musician and as a man...to promote █
