Purest techno hybrid styles from the forward mind of Dave Huismans aka 2562. With such an impeccable
track record to date you'd expect the man to slip up every now and again, but no such worries here, with
the double header of 'Next/Density' Huismans shoots straight from the dome into ever fresher directions
and possibilities for the style. 'Next' rolls up first with a devastatingly swung Detroit techno variant, taking
the innate funk of Carl Craig's finest breakbeat techno moments and swapping the percussion for
shimmering garage hi-hats locked into place around swooping bass kicks, all offset by feather touched key
strokes to form one of the most advanced rhythms you're likely to hear for a while. The flip is even better,
this time dipping the tempo slightly to a dipping house swing with strong Berlin dub tech elements, but it
really isn't as simple as that, the placement and formation of the man's sounds are just f**king crafty and
manage to swing in between at least four different rhythm patterns from London Broken beat to the
techiest Source Direct snake styles with baffling ease. It's simply and definitively awesome dancing music
and leaves all combinations of hip swinging, batty shaking and limb flailing comletely open to interpretation
which can't be praised any higher in a world that seems to be moving ever closer to a global 4/4 thud.
