Bstrd crew back once again for a toke from above;
hitting you with an extra value package of remixes and
reworks of Miss Erykah Badu from two of Brooklyn's
finest, just in time for some hot summertime action.
On the a-side, The Greenwood Rhythm Coalition (aka
Brooklyn vets MonkOne and E's E) flip the immaculate
'Honey' into a bouncy hip hop infused uptempo reggae
joint heading into some serious extended disco dub mix
territory. On the flip, Captain Planet (the man behind
the superhyped internet blog Captain's Crate and
2006's 'Gumbo Funk' EP) puts an early 80's electrofunk
vibe on 'Honey' with some big bassy synth lines and
talkbox abounding. Wrapping things up, the EP heads
backwards in time, Captain Planet taking Erykah's
'Cleva' down to Rio for some foot stomping samba funk
action!
