Release Notes :
In ancient Greek mythology, a chimera is a fire-breathing she-monster having a
lion's head, a goat's body and a serpent's tail. In our case, things are
slightly different.
Chymera is a nice Irish fellow originally from Cork. After having spent his
formative musical years in Dublin, he has travelled around the world and is now
based in sunny
Barcelona. Releasing on classy labels like Delsin, NRK and Ovum, Brendan creates
various timeless shapes of techno, drawing on many different influences, both
acoustic and electronic.
For Connaisseur, he bundles all his energy and the result is an outstanding
summer tune, maybe ChymeraÆs strongest tune so far. With Caprica Burning he
renders homage to the TV-series Battlestar Galactica where Caprica is a
fictional planet that is devastated in a sneak attack by the Cylons.
"Caprica Burning" is a deep and melodic cut with a strong touch of Detroit soul.
It's sublime arrangement and heart-rending moodiness make this hymn the perfect
choice for an open air closing tune.
Intacto's sure shot, half of Microfunk and co-owner of the hot thirtyonetwenty
imprint û Dave Ellesmere û gives Caprica Burning a sensitive treatment with his
Rites of Spring Remix. Unusual in comparison to his other works, this dreamy
remix hits you in the middle of your heart.
