Cody The Catch & Cuzin Rhay: Also known as "Over The Influence". This
hip hop group from western Canada mixes classic 90's hip hop with a new
west coast flavor. Cuzin Rhay (Ray Walsh) has been a D.J. in the B.C.
hip hop scene for over seven years now. Native to Victoria British
Columbia, he made his debut on the coast holding down the club nights at
Lucky Bar alongside D.J.'s "Speedy Shoes" & "Degree 1" and released a
Victoria classic "Show & prove EP" with fellow Vic hip hop head Mr.
Milz. Rhay also was the beat minder for the crew Delux for many years.
In 2008 he started to D.J. for Calgary rapper "Cody The Catch" , a
rising star in the Canadian hip hop scene. Cody The Catch spent several
years holding the Calgary heads down, but in 2007 he packed his bags and
moved himself and his music to the west coast. He released a 21 track
mix tape of original material with local artists and producer Guy Woods
in July 07 as well as started his debut album "Fresh & faded
Cody has collaborated with hip hop heavy weights from New York to The
United Kingdom, such as Termanology, Skyzoo & Moka Only. He has also
toured with Choclair, Maestro & Local Talent and has shared the stage
with many gold and platinum artists, most of the time with Cuzin Rhay on
the tables.
