Moving away from the multi artist approach of the previous 7 releases, IR-008 sees Jason Brunton take a
more direct approach to the dancefloor with this straight up Techno workout. Stabbing chords run amok
over a XXL Moroder-esque bassline- hints of Basic Channel, Carl Craig and the shuffling rhythms all
combining to create something both fresh and familiar at the same time.
Since his initial outings on Headpace and Iridite many years ago, Marco Bernardi's career has went from
strength to strength with astring of releases on Glasgow's Soma records and a fruitfull relationship with the
Dutch masters Clone- here he takes Mixed Metaphors in a new direction- crazed synthetic vocals combine
with ice cold strings and Electro beats worthy of any Aux 88 or Kraftwerk release ! Rei Loci turns in a
superb reworking, moving into deeper realms and coming off like early Robert Hood crashing into
Maurzio'sback yard!
