▓████▓▌ Ndour's band Etoile De Dakar, which brought Mbalax, ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Senegal's multi rhythmic percussion accented ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Afro-pop blend to the world, chances are you are ▓▌
▓████▓▌ familiar with the work of Mbaye Dieye Faye. As the ▓▌
▓████▓▌ group's lead percussionist, Mbaye provided the ▓▌
▓████▓▌ potent percussion licks, which helped secure the ▓▌
▓████▓▌ band a top spot among African bands. Today the ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Super Etoile is in a state of dormancy, activated ▓▌
▓████▓▌ every now and then for studio sessions. Ndour has ▓▌
▓████▓▌ moved on into a successful international career, ▓▌
▓████▓▌ which has seen him crowned, perhaps erroneously, as ▓▌
▓████▓▌ a king of "world music." Mbaye Dieye's ensemble, ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Sing Sing Rhythm, received critical praise in the ▓▌
▓████▓▌ past decade, helped along by a mixture of great ▓▌
▓████▓▌ percussions and erotic lyrics said to be ▓▌
▓████▓▌ appreciated by Senegalese women. Now, Songa Ma ▓▌
▓████▓▌ displays an enchanting blend of Senegal's tradition ▓▌
▓████▓▌ of griot singing, a bevy of traditional percussions ▓▌
▓████▓▌ and Afro-Cuban rhythms into seven spicy hot Mbalax ▓▌
▓████▓▌ numbers. With guest appearances by all but a few of ▓▌
