Another SUPERNOVA Release From TEAM ESCAPE
This is a Import is a Japanese exclusive release.
This album picks up where Watley's last project Saturday
Night Experience left off. The title track 'Midnight Lounge'
is a moody drum and bass affair. The songs that lie in wait
are gorgeous and sublime; they range from beautiful melodies
to laze to, to dance grooves made to make you move.
'Whenever' is a smooth houser with an infectious bassline
which is by followed the disco/Chic inspired 'Photographs'
The Masters At Work produced 'I Love To Love' has the
legendary Roy Ayers on the vibes. The deep and hypnotic
'Saturday Night Experience' has a post club early morning
vibe. Peter Gabriel's Don't Give Up is reworked and
re-energised. Watley's writing skills come to the fore in
'Clouds' a ballad which has elements of Massive Attack and
Rae & Christian.
This album is a MUST have for your collection!!! Its got
great R&B, Jazz Fusison, House etc
Its one of the most grossly underrated slept on recordings
of the past year. If you like Llorca, Marc Moulin, St
Germaine, Masters at work or Jody's previous album (Saturday
Night Experience) you will adore this new millennium
release.
