Slutbox, the duo consisting of Billy Dalessandro and Daniel Mnookin, made its
worldwide presence felt with their debut EP on Chicago based Siteholder Records
entitled "Nitrogen 2 Oxygen 1". Showing no signs of letting up in 2008, the team
kicks things off with their UnCut debut: "The Filthy Fibber EP". Sleazy twisted
beats tango with a sinister vocal in true Slutbox fashion - fun and funky is
once again the name-of-the-game. Brian Ffar comes roaring out of the gate with
his remix, a techy beast with enough bottom-end to make one want to hit it, but
definitely NOT quit it. After a highly successful 2007 spent churning out
monsters in the studio, if this is any indication of what Mr. Ffar has cooking
for the New Year, we're all going to be lining up at his doorstep for seconds.
Rounding out the three-tracker is Galuszka with his remix. Following his
well-received UnCut debut, "Cellblock 3", the Chicago native does not fail to
deliver on the remix tip. This textured reworking is perfect for a Sunday
morning confession session and by "confession session"; we of course mean the
wee hours spent getting down at your local nightclub. Filthy fibbing is indeed a
sin, but one that can be regularly forgiven on the dancefloor.
dh forgets to release the original mix! Enjoy this proper!
