React Music, responsible for releasing some of the best selling
dance albums of '95 follow their recent compilation successes with
the launch of Volume 3 of the Dope on Plastic series.
The first two volumes have been amonst React's best selling albums
with sales over 30,000 each and have received critical acclaim from
all sectors of the music press.
The Dope On Plastic series is compiled by John Stapleton AKA Dr
Jam. John has been playing and promoting hip hop, funk and jazz in
various south west venues for longer than seems feasible, including
the legendary Cooker, Def Con and Vision club nights, and the
Glastonbury jazz stage, his latest venture is the monthly Blow Pop!
in conjunction with Pip Diaz from Bristols Cup on Tea label. He is
also on the MixMag Update reviews team.
Dope on Plastic 3 features 12 tracks (16 on the mixed CD and
Cassette), none of which have appeared on any compilation album
before, and five of which are exclusive to this release.
The tracks are drawn from leftfield labels from the UK, USA,
Germany and Belgium, including Ninja tune (exclusive DJ Food
track), Cutting (Masters At Work anthen "Jus A 'lil' Dope"),
Concrete, Hard Hands, R & S and Cup of Tea. Exclusive tracks from
