Justin LaBo is uniquely talented in creating song oriented, melodic
soundscapes with his own brand of computer-based, electronic,
cinematic pop. Over the last year he's been honing his production
skills with label mates Kenric Junior Varsity KM, Roby & Viet Sweet
Trip and pal Jimmy Figurine and building a tangle of new equipment.
Justin's new LP Normal Control Range contains elements of drum &
bass, techno, dub and house all very freshly blended in a hi-tech
     computer-and-sampler-generated instrumental paradise. His
evolutionary electronic compositions create a new form and a new
conversation about where dance and electronic music are headed. The
blend of genres and fresh perspective on the meeting of beat and
melody present on Normal Control Range is similar to the ideas on
the first LP, One Touch Test Strip (Fuzzy Box), only augmented. As
XLR8R wrote of One Touch Test Strip, "I liked this album, if only
for its complete lack of adherence to 'dance music' stylings.
Purists beware, music lovers recommended". AP said "Look out!
Justin LaBo is a force to be reckoned with." Magnet predicted,
"This young man will soon be writing scores to the top films".
