Yin & Yang is Susumu Yokota, a popular techno artist in the European

music scene. Born in Tokyo, he first worked in graphic design and film

then, influenced by Acid House and Trance, began to make his own music.

In 1993, Yokota made his debut on Germany's number one trance label

Harthouse, with the EP 'Frankfurt Tokio Connection'. As the first

Japanese techno artist to achieve success in Europe, he was invited

to take part in the Berlin Love Parade of '94 and '95, leading the way

for the likes of Ken Ishii and Takkyu Ishino,

Back in Tokyo, he began recording for Frogman (as Yin & Yang) in 1994,

and for Sublime (as Prism)in 1995. Planning events in Europe and Japan

with DJ Toby helped to increase Yokota's fan base, and he continues to

release singles for a variety of labels including Berlin's Space Teddy

(as Ebi), Harthouse, San Francisco's Silent label, and Australia's Psy

     Harmonics.

In Europe, the response to Yokota's last Harthouse album, 'Mouse, Cat & Me'

(a journey into the realms of groovy house) has been overwhelming, with

the single 'One Way' remixed by Derrick Carter and Salt City Orchestra,

becoming a club hit. GRAND EP under the name Ying & Yang, is the result

     of Yokota's foray even deeper.
