I'm starting to think Pacifica is getting a little odd in terms of its
output recently and it has to be the next release following "Jon
Pleased presents The Shining - Backslider." The "odd" but good mix
comes from the dynamic duo (Christian & George) that have been writing
music for quite a while. It took me by suprise because of it's mellow &
funky deep house affair unlike anything you have heard from this label.
The combination of its running bassline, bluesy note and mind-melting
underlays makes it a definite floor-filler. That proves this duo has
the knack for producing a little soft-edged dance track that will find
many admirers among the chill-out contingent of clubgoers. The Original
Mix is produced by Christian West who put in a quality progressive
performance as he turned the track into a emotion stirring progressive
monster, fit for any dancefloor. Check out those repeated musical
patterns that allow the listener to build up a state of intense focus,
and enter a trance-like state of bliss. It's also interesting to hear
those riffs and swirling synths lines interact nicely. This one
definitely gets the crowd going. A must for the likes of Dave Seaman
and Sasha.
