Kid Loco (Jean-Yves Prieur) is a Paris-based DJ-producer who
records lush, melodic, mainly instrumental electronica. The
ambient, atmospheric style of his music has prompted critical
comparisons with his fellow French artists, Air and Dimitri From
Paris. Prieur, who was originally known as Kid Bravo, played guitar
in a number of French punk bands during the early 80s but became
more interested in production, helping set up the Bondage label.
The impact of rap music prompted a change in direction and by the
late 80s Prieur was playing reggae and hip-hop with Mega Reefer
Scratch.
Track 2 and 3 are sung by Tim Keegan (Departure Lounge).
