| | Here it is, the final instalment of the Mind, | |
| | Body & Soul LP. This third phase features | |
| | tracks from heavyweight producers Calibre and | |
| | Carlito, along with two talented up-and- | |
| | coming artists, Kaleb and Funk'n'Flex. The CD | |
| | format of the album is mixed by 1Xtra's DJ | |
| | Flight and will be available on June 2nd. | |

| | To start things off we bring you one of the | |
| | most gifted and prolific producers around | |
| | today - Calibre. With many releases on high | |
| | profile labels such as Creative Source and | |
| | Soul:R, Calibre has made an amazing impact on | |
| | the drum & bass scene, firmly establishing | |
| | himself as a front-runner in a relatively | |
| | short time. | |
| | | |
| | Brother is an absolute smasher that has | |
| | featured heavily in the sets of virtually | |
| | every DJ on the circuit including Fabio, | |
| | Grooverider, Zinc, Bryan Gee, DJ Addiction | |
| | and DJ Flight to name but a few. With its | |
| | rolling beats, warbling bassline and | |
| | fantastic filtered vocal hooks, Brother will | |
| | gurantee to get the crowd moving. | |

| | On the O-side, we introduce another newcomer | |
| | to Defunked, in the shape of Kaleb, who along | |
| | with Dice hails from Helsinki in Finland. | |
| | Kaleb will be a familiar name to any | |
| | followers of the US based Phuturistic Bluez | |
| | label with his recent release entitled Magic. | |
| | | |
| | Count On Me is a truly soulful number with a | |
| | punchy break that is complemented by a | |
| | melodic bassline and sublime pads. Filtered | |
| | synth riffs cascade over the top with piano | |
| | chords and the superb vocals provide the | |
| | finishing touches. a great debut from Kalev, | |
| | who I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot more of | |
| | in the future. | |

| | Carlito needs absolutely no introduction, | |
| | having been heavily involved in the scene for | |
| | many years now, and this being his tenth song | |
| | on Defunked also makes him the label's most | |
| | prolific artist to date. | |

| | Turn It Up is the second contribution from | |
| | Carlito on the album, and will surely be one | |
| | of the most soulful drun & bass tracks you're | |
| | likely to hear this year! His trademark | |
| | stepping beats set the tempo, together with a | |
| | pounding 808 bassline and luscious rhodes | |
| | chords. However it's the powerful uplifting | |
| | vocals of epic proportions that make this | |
| | track something truly special. | |
