In the Summer of 2007 , Two Friends (Singer Songwriter, Ryan Amaradio and
Bass Player, Chau Thai Ly) thought there was something missing in what they
were doing in music. After playing countless shows and playing in bands that
were lacking in purpose and sincere intent, it was time for change, a change
for the better.
One evening the two were writing material and discussing about what it is
to play with passion, love and feeling. To write songs about having hope for
the hopeless, to relate to every person who has a dream of their own and to
make records that have longevity. Set out to find pieces of the puzzle, guitar
player and friend Richard Tran soon joined the semi completed band as lead
guitar/background vocals after seeing progress with the direction. A phone call
later after hearing some demo tracks Tyler De Young completed the last piece
of the powerpop/rock band AMARADIO.
Amaradio soon contacted Justin Powell (A Thorn For Every heart) to record and
produce their highly anticipated debut E.P. SheÆs Got You. Setting their hopes
high the E.P. has began to create a stir in the local myspace scene as well as
on the streets. ôWith just a little luck this band could easily rise above the
masses and land a record deal.ö Abolutepunk.com. Members of Amaradio have been
in the industry for sometime and have the experience of playing across the nation,
as well Canada and Russia, Playing venues such as House of Blues, Glasshouse,
Chain Reaction, Universal Citywalk and opening up for bands on a national
level such as Plain White TÆs, Ruth, Project 86, Smash Mouth, Pax 217 and more.
Amaradio is a group of four friends from different places who love to play
music and be who they are, like it or not. Combining rock influences of the
Foo Fighters, the unique melodies of Weezer and with spoonful of Sugarcult ,
AmaradioÆs music is packed with punch, and catchy hooks exploding in your stereo.
