| | The Crunch Recordings concept was conceived | |
| | in 2005. æRolling organic soundsÆ was the | |
| | template. Founded by MC Verse, the label is | |
| | an outlet for his own productions as well as | |
| | collaborations with good friends and fellow | |
| | artists. To help kick start the label in the | |
| | right direction, Verse joined forces with | |
| | Austrian producer D Kay for the first | |
| | release. This led to more collaborations with | |
| | producers such as Keaton æWhite CrowÆ, BC UK | |
| | æHalf LifeÆ, D Bridge æSolitudes WeaknessÆ , | |
| | Phobia æVolatileÆ and more recently a solo | |
| | 12ö from the emerging talents of Prolific. | |
| | Arguably CrunchÆs hotest release to date has | |
| | been VerseÆs collaboration with fellow MC, SP | |
| | on the devastating stepper æSurrenderÆ which | |
| | harks back to the revered Wormhole days. | |
| | Sticking to its ethos of providing a deep, | |
| | rolling organic vibe, and taking its | |
| | listeners on a musical journey, Crunch is | |
| | slowly but surely cementing a reputation as a | |
| | label of the highest quality and consistency. | |
| | Now, here we are in 2008, MC Verse has been | |
| | taking a break from production duties. Not | |
| | through choice but due to a ridiculous amount | |
| | of gigs. Hes currently the frontman of the | |
| | world famous Rock/Drum n Bass band Pendulum, | |
| | and also on mic duties for Pendulum DJ sets | |
| | alongside El Hornet. This gave him the idea | |
| | to involve some of the artists that he really | |
| | feels are shining at the moment and would | |
| | represent his label to the fullest. This time | |
| | Crunch delves deep into the Dutch underground | |
| | to showcase some of Eindhoven's established | |
| | and upcoming talents side by side. Icicle, | |
| | Martyn, Proxima, Nymfo & Mindmapper lend | |
| | their signature sounds to help craft an album | |
| | of deep, futuristic rollers, whilst Erosie , | |
| | also from Eindhoven created the stunning | |
| | artwork. A great representation of the scene | |
| | in Eindhoven, Holland, and Crunch's musical | |
| | mantra. | |
