Release Notes:
Following Times New VikingÆs much-loved Rip It Off, the
Columbus threesome have revealed plans for a new EP. On
October 21, the tape-hiss-loving lo-fi outfit will drop Stay
Awake via their Matador home. And considering the band are to
hit the road with Deerhunter for a fall tour, the timing
couldnÆt be better, at least for the merch table.
According to Matador, the label was pushing for a ten-inch on
this one but Times New Viking have ôeschewed demandsö and
opted to release Stay Awake as a five-track seven-inch, as
well as a digital download. WeÆre not sure on this but perhaps
its because seven-inches are just more of a pain when it comes
down to the artwork, which the band are still putting together
by hand.
