Canadian Tiga was held up last year as the poster boy for the non-starter that
was "electroclash", but it's his ability as a DJ/selector rather than as a
pretty face that gets your attention here. He skilfully, and with a nice sense
of humour too, executes a set of European techno and electro that bounces along
nicely, changing pace occasionally without losing momentum and switching from
dark to light sounds and back again without sounding too obvious. It's set at a
decent tempo too, making a nice change from the heart-attack pace of much
electro, where the speed of everything makes it hard to express emotion or do
anything apart from slam one track into the next as quickly as possible.
