The very first Ranking Joe album
This mint or near mint vinyl album was ripped using good
quality
equipment for your listening pleasure:
Pro-ject 6.0 turntable equipped with clean sounding
Clearaudio Aurum
Alpha Mk II Moving Magnet cartridge. Signal fed thru' an LC
Audio
Sidewinder Mk II pre/phonoamp. Weak link was the 18 bit AD
converter
on the Turtle Beach Montego II PC soundcard, but with 99% of
all
recorded reggae that doesn't matter.
Depending on the quality of vinyl compound/pressing, the
record has
undergone light to heavy restoration using pro software from
Sonic Foundry and Waves. Moderately limited to bring the
volume
closer to modern cds. In cases of exceptionally dull or
life-less
sound, various degrees of re-equalization has been
performed.
