│▓│ │▓│
│▓│ The 'Messenger' of reggae is back with a new studio album. │▓│
│▓│ "A New Day" from Luciano features 16 new songs from the │▓│
│▓│ inimitable voice of progressive roots music. │▓│
│▓│ │▓│
│▓│ Luciano has built an international fan base over the past │▓│
│▓│ six years with his distinctive voice and soulful phrasing on │▓│
│▓│ songs like "It's Me Again Jah", "Lord, Give I Strength", │▓│
│▓│ "Never Give Up My Pride", "We're All In This Together" and │▓│
│▓│ "Messenger". │▓│
│▓│ │▓│
│▓│ Luciano is a bright light on today's reggae music scene for │▓│
│▓│ his personal and musical philosophy. He represents a bridge │▓│
│▓│ between the traditional roots and culture music of earlier │▓│
│▓│ generations and the youthful, explorative nature of today's │▓│
│▓│ cutting edge artists and producers. Throughout his musical │▓│
│▓│ journeys however, the message is always present and clear. │▓│
│▓│ Luciano's music is an invitation to rejoice and to praise. │▓│
│▓│ The message is about the upliftment of all people through │▓│
│▓│ the word of JAH. │▓│
│▓│ │▓│
│▓│ A New Day is a selection of songs with uplifting and │▓│
│▓│ positive messages. The music mix is rich with strong backing │▓│
│▓│ tracks and familiar musical references. The Marvin Gaye │▓│
│▓│ classic "God Is My Friend" is covered in an inspired │▓│
│▓│ version. The track "Oh Father, I Love Thee" is a tribute to │▓│
│▓│ the late 'Prince of Reggae' Dennis Brown. Other musical │▓│
│▓│ influences are as varied as Studio 1 riddims to Broadway │▓│
│▓│ musicals. Producer Dean "Cannon" Fraser creates a musical │▓│
│▓│ backdrop, full of influences from Jazz, Soul, pop, Gospel │▓│
│▓│ and of course traditional roots reggae. │▓│
