Culled from a smattering of much-sought-after singles, and
tracks from a wide range of Lee Perry / Upsetters solo and
albums and compilations, originaly released by varioyus
labels in Europe between 1969 to 1974, namely Pama, Black
Star Liner, Rhino and Trojan, most of which are now defunct,
This selection gathers some of Perry 's finest recorded
vocal performance before he started to divert as much his
artistic genius to the wonder of console wizardry .
This Album endorses the point, that even as far back at the
late Sixties to the last seventies Lee "Scratch" Perry
certainly gave Jamaican music a renewed impetus.
