Recorded and mixed at the legendary Channel One studio, this
album was originally released in 1982. It's the first album
following The Gladiator's Virgin years. The project was the
brainchild of a frenchman, Jacky Knafo who managed the band and
promoted their very first tour in Europe.
"After putting out fabulous records, said Knafo, the last Virgin
album had not been well received, fans thought it was too "light",
we decided to go "back to roots", as the title suggests, and that's
exactly what we did."
Back To Roots is the very first Gladiators album featuring the
whole band on every songs, not hired musicians as before.
