The birth of "the havana boys" is the unique essence of a warm,
groovy and funky style - reflecting the musical development of a
sound that is crushing all stylistic borders: at the beginning of
the nineties guitarists henrik raabe and jakob seidensticker
started to explore new musical horizons while taking a tour on free
instrumental improvisation. they tried to take hold of the gained
ideas and concepts in different bandprojects and then closed the
circle after they've expired the world of free tonal and rythmical
expression returning to their big love: the groove. beside regular
gigs in hamburg clubs like mojo, hafenklang, the etrema project and
the international "mojo club dancefloor jazz tour 2000", they are
now getting their album ready for launch out...
