Yellowman fulfills his reputation as a prime slack DJ on
this session, checking in with such explicit and vulgar
numbers as "Love It" and "Got the Rammer." The title track
is a well-intentioned, if lyrically lightweight tribute to
reggae's history, while the cover of the Captain and
Tennille's "Do That To Me One More Time," retitled "Do It
To Me," is uneventful; other tunes such as "Dancehall
Tambourine" and "Love King Yellow" are more entertaining.
This qualifies as a decent Yellowman album; nothing too
memorable, but a few numbers worth a second listen. ù Ron
