Release Notes:
--------
The name Andy Bopp may not that familiar to fans of lo-fi Americana but to
anyone with a leaning towards premier power pop then the name will be known as
the mainman from the excellent power pop band called Myracle Brah. Andy being
front man and songwriter, anyone looking for guitar hook driven pop music then
all their records can be strongly recommended and their record "Life On Planet
Earthstop" is a good starting point which like this release can found via the
home of power pop in the USA Not Lame Records or Rainbow Quartz.
Musically Myracle BrahÆs music sits comfortably with Big Star, The Byrds,
Teenage Fan Club, Badfinger and The Beatles.
For this record Andy has taken the æunpluggedÆ route, which means itÆs just
AndyÆs voice and acoustic guitar plus all his own songs. Some of the songs can
be found on Myracle Brah records plus there are also several new offerings.
Stripped down Andy sounds like early John Lennon, and the record works in many
ways. ItÆs an excellent introduction to the talents of the man and makes a
refreshing change from some of the over produced music that pervades music in
2008.
Strongly recommended and if you like this you wonÆt be disappointed by the
Myracle Brah back catalogue and if you are feeling adventurous check all the
artists on Rainbow Quartz.
