Dumb Recordings was set up and kicked into action late 2005 by Daniel
Lindeberg, also known as Dumb Dan. Having released free music on a
netlabel (Bevlar) he had started a couple years earlier Dan now felt
it was time to move on to vinyl and CD. He took the network of
artists and DJs with him and launched Dumb with the release of CryoÆs
Empathic and soon tracks by Retarded Funk, Mashtronic and Thomas
Jaldemark (Now half of minimalist duo Donk Boys!) followed.
In 2007 Dumb Recordings was firmly established on the scene as one of
the leading label groups, releasing more quality material than ever.
2008 will see the label evolve even more, going back to selling
physical product as well as merchandise and digital
downloads directly to customers.
