We've been waiting with baited breath for a new Kassem Mosse 12"
since his sickeningly good Workshop and Mikrodisko 12"s spun our
world upside down some months ago, so we can let out a big gasp of
relief that 'Aqueous haze' is so worth the wait. The man has plied
his unique sound design structures into a brilliantly off-balance
pair of heavy house hitters, riding a 120bpm throb built on strict
Chicago prinicples on 'No Love/No Peace/No Unity' but layered up
with some purest Drexciyan indebted synth manouevres for the real
dark and effective vibe. The one you're guaranteed to hear in the
finest clubs during the coming dark months though, is '578' on the
flip. It's a genius slice of warehouse crumbling house, sounding
like Marcel Dettmann pitched down and dosed up with Omar-S-on-GHB
vibes for the haziest, most sinister club track we've heard in a
while. Release that synthline on an unsuspecting crowd and you'll
have them swimming for life. Totally brilliant.
