This man's beats are magic. As half of Heralds of Change, and the studio brains
behind many of Rustie and Hudson Mohawkes finest moments, Mike Slott could be
considered as something of a prodigy. With two brand new joints here Slott just
turns our ears to a very happy pulp on 'Flunky' with a gloriously astral beat
manglement that sounds like two records battling for supremacy in some virtual
hiphop altiverse and eventually just giving up to the fact that they sound far
better like that. Second cut 'Deux Three' feat Muhsinah slows to a less frantic
vibe, floating her seraphic soul vocals over an unravvelling beat pattern that
never quite knows where it's going in the next bar but the fun is all in
following wherever it goes. Completely next!
