Only after a year and a half of performing, A Lifelike Story opens the doors and
grabs the attention of the industry with the release of their self-produced EP,
æFlowers For WednesdayÆ. This female-fronted alternative rock band takes the
stage with a presence and emotive energy that makes A Lifelike StoryÆs fans feel
a part of the show. With their down-to-earth approach, Bryan, Taylor, Garrett &
Nate try to connect with all of their fans on and off of the stage. Not only do
the four connect with their fans, but also with one another creating a core
group of friends. In addition to the release of their debut EP, they have also
shared the stage with bands such as Automatic Loveletter (Epic Records),
Ivoryline (Tooth & Nail), Driver Side Impact (Victory Records) and many more.
With a number of performances, recordings, and contacts under their belt, A
Lifelike Story is moving forward into the future, continuing to write and
perform as they go. Bryan, Taylor, Garrett, and Nate have the drive and passion
for their music and are ready to show the world what A Lifelike Story truly has
to offer.
Bryan Welsh (Guitar)
A Lifelike StoryÆs lead guitarist and founder, Bryan Welsh was born in 1988 in a
small town in central New Jersey. He was introduced to the music industry at a
young age by his uncle, radio DJ and music promoter, æBluegrassÆ Bill Billera.
After meeting and watching a few well known artists such as Allison Krauss,
Emmylou Harris, and Barry & Holly Tashian, Bryan knew that music was his career
path. At the age of nine, he started taking guitar lessons. After playing the
guitar for a few years, he began to teach himself other instruments such as:
bass guitar, keyboard, piano, and harmonica. During this time he started to
explore the world of songwriting. Within the past four years Bryan has written
over 60 songs. His songwriting draws from personal experiences and can be
considered a reflection of who he is. In September of 2005, Bryan met lead
singer Taylor Ruggieri and formed A Lifelike Story. While continuing to write
and perform with A Lifelike Story, Bryan also produces and engineers at a local
studio. Bryan is a prolific singer/songwriter with a playing and performance
style that has been called unique and apparently effortless. He has been
described as a person with a natural gift and a rising talent who, with his
drive, is sure to be a star.
Taylor Ruggieri (Vocals)
With a voice like no other, Taylor Ruggieri is the front woman for the rock band
A Lifelike Story. Born in 1991 in Hillsborough, NJ Taylor was destined for
greatness. At the age of three years old she starting singing and wrote her
first ôsongö about a wagon. Through the course of her elementary and middle
school years she studied instruments such as: flute, tenor sax, piano, and bass
guitar. Once in high school she met guitarist, Bryan Welsh in 2005 and formed
the band A Lifelike Story. After teaming up with Bryan, Taylor wrote her first
ôrealö song, Overdose (Not Your Turn). Over the course of the next year Taylor
began to amaze fans within coffee houses around the area. Joined by Ben Cahill
and Garrett Hoffman, things grew more intense. Taylor began to take the stage by
storm with a presence that could not be ignored. With musical accompaniment from
the guys, Taylor has written many songs including A Lifelike StoryÆs hit WeÆve
Got The Night. With a powerful voice, emotive songs, and an eye-catching
presence, Taylor is a key part to the success of A Lifelike Story.
Garrett Hoffman (Bass)
Hailing from the not-so-quiet city of Flemington, NJ, Bassist Garrett Hoffman
provides the low-end for A Lifelike Story. Garrett has been involved with music
since the young age of ten and was influenced by his family consisting of
musicians. Around the age of 13, Garrett began to learn bass guitar, and soon
found out he couldnÆt put it down. A major setback to GarrettÆs career has been
the fact that he is left-handed. Despite the fact that he
