Release Notes:
--------
Rott N Roll has become the phrase of choice for Grayson Capps fans to use in
describing his music. It expresses the raw energy of Graysons songs--a mix of
roadhouse rock, southern soul and country blues with tales of prostitutes,
alcoholics, drifters and paranoia. On his fourth album, Grayson and his band The
Stumpknockers churn and burn harder than ever. Raucous numbers like Big Black
Buzzard, The Sun Don t Shine On Willy and Going Back To The Country are instant
classics in his repertoire. Yet a more introspective side is also on display
with two of the most personal songs the singer-songwriter has written to date:
Arrowhead and Guitar. Having drawn comparisons over the last few years to the
likes of Tom Waits, Townes Van Zandt and Drive By Truckers, Rott N Roll proves
that Grayson s vision is ultimately as singular as those to whom he s compared.
