Stylistically as well as with regard to the choice of artists,
Chapter 3 is a direct follow-up to Black Coffee 2. It continues
along the funky-jazzy grove and there are again various Viennese as
well a international artists aboard, only now the tunes have picked
up speed.
Wiggle - the CD's title is programmatic: you can wiggle around the
dance floor or just nod your head, you can tap your feet or click
on your mouse. This collection of fine tunes gets you groovin' and
movin' throughout the whole day, on the floor, in your car or on
your couch. Since the compilation starts out at uptempo pace and
ends on a slow, relaxing note, it is the ideal tool for every jazz
raver to come down.
The CD's opener, a previously unreleased speedy piece by Stereotyp
a.k.a. Stefan M÷rth, takes you on a breathtaking car chase in
fantastic electro jazz garb, Then the Britons from Baby Mammoth
envelop you in the symphonic sounds of their
break-beat-groove-meets-classic-strings piece. The smooth groove
journey continues with the usual suspects such as G-stone shooting
stars Walkner.M÷stl, "boss on the boat" Tosca, Boozoo Bajou, The
Menheads and many more. The selection ends with a track by the
compilers themselves, "Herden": a percussion based, precise, and
earthy chill-out tune. Exquisit voice bits and and fat sounds add
just the right pinch of extra groove to round off the savour of
this supreme blend.
