Krack Free Media started in late 1987. The band members were Swift-C,
K-Rock, DJ Science and DJ Smiz. They were one of the first Hip-Hop bands
to surface in Scotland. Around 1991-92 the band went their seperate ways.
DJ Smiz (aka Krash Slaughta) went on to join "II Tone Committee" another
top Scottish Hip Hop act, and Swift-C left to join another band. DJ
Science and K-Rock (aka Kryptic) kept the name of "Krack Free Media" and
continued to work on material. Eventually after a few years they decided
that creating music had to take a back seat due to other personal
commitments. However due to re-emerging interest in their music, Swift,
Kryptic, and Science have got together again and are now currently
working on new material to be released in 2008. The Return Of The
Difference Dealers!
This "back catalogue" consists of approximately 23 songs which were
recorded
in DJ Science's bedroom before the use of computer technology and CD's.
As most of the tracks are demos - please don't wonder about the quality!
