Extrawelt have just releases their brilliant Schone Neue Extrawelt album (check
out our album release to listen how good it actually is), and they're now about
to release a brand new EP. "Mind Over Doesn't Matter" contains three brand new
tunes from the cunning boys: yup, these are expensive days if you're an
Extrawelt fanatic... First off is "Im Garten Von Eben", a throbbing minimal
house tune exposing that good ole' Extrawelt vibe. Lots of rattles, weird bass
sounds, and plenty of sound effects to fill a superhero movie with. After a
solid build up, the tune engages into a beautiful melodic atmosphere full of
soft strings and genius drum programming. First class stuff. Flipping over we
find "Erste Unversicherte Allgemeinheit", which sees the boys experimenting with
vintage electro beats and hectic hi-hatting. The result is another highly
adventurous track, of which the middle part with its subtle melodic changes is
most exciting. Last one up is "Aufnahmezustand", a dark minimal tune oozing with
delays and reverb fx. Again lots of percussion freakiness here, and sadly that's
all there is to it. There's some cool effects on the side as well but overall
speaking this one's merely a sweet DJ /dub tool. Nevertheless, the Extrawelt
boys have managed to come up with another solid package for the demanding
house/tech-house/minimal fanatic. All three tracks have that great dance-floor
vibe, with the first two guaranteeing to get you cold shivers upon listening.
Enjoy these bombs!
